Cool Beans In Motion: Arnivore’s Summer Of Love
Hey!
So this summer I (Chris Arnold/Arnivore/Fat Back/Trough Hound/Master Of Dry Chat) shall be taking the majestic sounds of Cool Beans all over the United Kingdom thanks to the power of…
a) Festivals
b) DJ sets
c) Oxygen
Cos without Oxygen we would be nothing, nothing at all.
Very excited about all these shows, mainly DJ sets but a couple of other performances (Legitimate Gentlemen, Ham Pocket, expression through disco dancing, etc) shall be making an appearance as well. I’ve written up a handy breakdown of what’s cracking off so you can all find out what exactly it is I’ll be up to and I dunno, maybe come and watch, perhaps, I dunno if you’re not busy or anything.
Now, sure, nobody asked me to write up a handy breakdown of what’s cracking off but if I simply went along with what people asked me to do I wouldn’t end up doing much.
(I have no friends)
Without further ado…

Broomhill Festival
14th June - 10PM - The Fox & Duck
Ham Pocket’s final show with a whole heap of local talent acting as support. Why must Ham Pocket end their live spectacular I hear no-one cry? Our survey says: Trouble with the Feds - 67, inability to play instruments - 45, they are simply too popular - 1. Also Andy Enchilada is leaving Sheffield….more on that story later!

Boomtown Fair Festival
10th/11th August - Happy Slap Boutique Tent

Edinburgh Fringe Festval
18th-23rd August - Voodoo Rooms
Something a bit different to finish off the festival season - alongside Cool Beans associates Andrew, Dominic and Edmund, the four of us shall be performing a comedy show entitled The Cool Beans Guide To Life. Could be a smash hit. It might not be though.
www.edfringe.com
The DJ sets shall be a big melting point of festival-party-fun, lots of breaks, electro-swing, balkan, reggae, ska, drum and bass, funk, moombahton dubstep, hip hop treats, tropical hits, latino beats and such delights. Here’s a couple of free mashups that I’ve just made with Ocelus as well as a couple of my mixes to give you a taster of what I’ll be playing out and about this summer!
See you in the fields!
