And finally, after months of snow, rain, woollen jumpers and bitter cold – came the 3 day burst of sunshine that so oft constitutes the British summertime. We all got excited, donned our shortest shorts and basked like desert snakes savouring the gentle rays. Anyone who knows about Delve Deeper will know that they have been pushing deep house music in Sheffield for close to 6 years. In that time, one name has stood at the forefront of Deep House globally – Jimpster, of which DD is a host night on his official album launch tour.

New York’s Toby Goodshanks, once of the legendary Moldy Peaches, heads up this event. Also on board is Filthy Pedro, pioneer of the British Antifolk movement as well as the hugely entertaining Biscuithead & the Biscuit Badgers from Leeds.

A race against time as Hardeep Singh Kohli orders a local takeaway, then attempts to cook his own before the meal arrives. The show culminates with audience members coming up and tasting both. Who shall be crowned curry king? There’s only one way to find out!

Doc/Fest brings the international documentary family together to celebrate the art and business of documentary making for five intense days in June. Now in its 20th Year, Sheffield Doc/Fest is proudly one of the top three documentary festivals in the world.

The inaugural event for the fresh-faced Little Owl Presents team, easing their way into the scene with an unplugged affair at the Rutland Arms. Eight acts on the bill, the headline spot being taken up by singer/songwriter Kirsty McGee whose most recent single is featured in Trance (that film that Danny Boyle done).
